‘Wicked’ star Ariana Grande reveals how movie pulled her out of dark place

Ariana Grande, American singer and songwriter who also tried her luck in acting career, is opening up about the toughest times of her life that nearly broke her, revealing she could’ve ended up “in an insane asylum” if it weren’t for Wicked.

The 31-year-old star revealed that she couldn’t face the pressure of fame-game while managing the personal battles with a twist of a never-ending workload, but her recent role as Glinda in hit movie Broadway became her comfort zone.

Ariana recently opened up to HELLO! Magazine and shared, “There were so many reasons why I wanted to do this but I wanted to earn it.”

“Vocally it’s very different to what I usually sing, so I started training every single day with my vocal coach and my acting coach,” she added.

“Whatever was asked, I wanted to be able to drop in and really become Glinda.”

The 7 Rings hitmaker went on revealing that she gave her all to the movie and put everything else on hold and focused on what she truly wanted.

“I do think, though, if it hadn’t happened I might have ended up in an insane asylum. It’s a very different experience than anything else, for sure,” the singer added.

However, Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo’s latest movie Wicked, which hit the Box office on November 22, has been making waves since its release, becoming one of the highest grossing movies in cinema’s history.
