AAJ KA PANCHANG, AUGUST 17, 2024: The Dwadashi and Trayodashi Tithi of Shukla Paksha will fall on August 17, according to Drik Panchang. This day will be marked as the Malayalam New Year. Moreover, devotees will also observe Pradosh Vrat on this day which is essentially to seek blessing from Lord Shiva. Before starting any rituals, it is essential to check the tithi, along with the auspicious and inauspicious timings. This information can provide guidance and help you avoid potential issues throughout the day.

SUNRISE, SUNSET, MOONRISE, AND MOONSET ON AUGUST 17

Sunrise is predicted to occur around 5:51 AM, while sunset is expected at approximately 6:58 PM. The moon is expected to rise at around 5:26 PM and is likely to set near 3:50 AM August 18.

TITHI, NAKSHATRA, AND RASHI DETAILS FOR AUGUST 17

The Dwadashi Tithi will be in effect until 8:05 AM and then the Trayodashi tithi will start. The Purva Ashadha Nakshatra will stay in effect till 11:49 AM and then the Uttara Ashadha Nakshatra will take its place. The moon will be in the Dhanu Rashi until 5:29 PM and then shift to the Makara Rashi. The sun will be located in the Karka Rashi.

SHUBH MUHURAT FOR AUGUST 17

On August 17, auspicious mahurats include Brahma Muhurta from 4:25 AM to 5:08 AM. The favourable Abhijit Muhurta is expected to last from 11:59 AM to 12:51 PM. Pratah Sandhya from 4:46 AM to 5:51 AM, Vijaya Muhurta from 2:36 PM to 3:28 PM, Godhuli Muhurta from 6:58 PM to 7:20 PM and Sayahna Sandhya from 6:58 PM to 8:04 PM. Additionally, Nishita Muhurta will occur from 12:03 AM to 12:47 AM on August 18, while Amrit Kalam will be observed between 7:12 AM and 8:44 AM.

ASHUBH MUHURAT FOR AUGUST 17

The inauspicious timings for the day are as follows: Rahu Kalam Muhurat is projected from 9:08 AM to 10:47 AM, Yamaganda Muhurat from 2:03 PM to 3:42 PM and Gulikai Kalam Muhurat from 5:51 AM to 7:30 AM. Additionally, the Banna Muhurat will occur in Mrityu from 8:52 PM.
