On a year-on-year (YoY) basis, the value of retail trade grew by 0.7 per cent, while volume rose by 0.3 per cent, an Istat release said.
The seasonally-adjusted index for Italy’s retail trade grew by 1.2 per cent month on month both in value and volume terms in September this year, official statistics show.

In Q3 2024, the value of retail sales increased by 0.7 per cent and sales volume went up by 0.4 per cent quarter on quarter.
In the third quarter (Q3) this year, the value of retail sales increased by 0.7 per cent quarter on quarter (QoQ) , and sales volume went up by 0.4 per cent QoQ.
In September, large-scale distribution saw a YoY growth of 2.2 per cent, while small-scale distribution contracted by 1 per cent YoY and non-store retail sales declined by 1.6 per cent YoY. Online sales saw a YoY growth of 2.1 per cent.
